/Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting, sculpture and collage at two West Town galleries.
Come visit the spectacular studio of Wesley Kimler, whose powerfully evocative paintings with vivid, deep hued fields of color are breathtaking. Kimler had a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago in 1995, and his work is part of their permanent collection, along with other museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the Smart Museum, Chicago. At Corbett vs. Dempsey we will see the fascinating collages of John Sparagana. He transforms images by cutting and remixing iconic pages from magazines and other sources. At Rhona Hoffman Gallery we will see the striking paintings and sculpture of Jacob Hashimoto, who creates complex worlds out of handcrafted paper and wood kites. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Southwestern restaurant Flo.
Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago's art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
