November 22, 2013

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting and photography at two Chicago galleries.

Come visit the studio of Dan Gunn, who creates "constructed paintings" with a meticulous sense of craft. His abstract objects simultaneously inhabit the realms of painting and sculpture. Dan was awarded the 2013 Artadia/Expo Chicago Award. His work has been exhibited nationally, including the MCA, Chicago and Art Los Angeles Contemporary. He is looking forward to upcoming shows at Miami Basel and Monique Meloche Gallery. At Shane Campbell Gallery you will see Jonas Wood's energetic and personal paintings of American life that blur the boundaries of figuration and abstraction. Curtis Mann's fascinating photographs will be exhibited at Kavi Gupta Gallery. Enjoy lunch at Ina's restaurant.
