November 12, 2014

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting, sculpture and film at two Chicago galleries.

Come visit the studio of David Klamen, whose sensual and meditative paintings will captivate you. Klamen's work is in many permanent collections, including The Art Institute of Chicago, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.

At Kavi Gupta Gallery you will see work by Mickalene Thomas, who explores the life of her muse and mother. It is a beautiful story that celebrates womanhood, motherhood and the power of art.

Zak Prekop's fluid abstract canvases that deftly combine distinct shapes and forms will be exhibited at Shane Campbell Gallery.

Enjoy lunch at the colorful Wishbone restaurant.
