February 24, 2016

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore drawing, painting and ceramics at two Chicago galleries.

Come visit the studio of William J. O’Brien, whose gritty yet whimsical ceramic sculpture and brightly patterned drawings will captivate you. O’Brien had a major survey exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in 2014. His work is in many museum collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the Miami Art Museum and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. At Richard Gray Gallery we will see a survey of master drawings by renowned New York painter Alex Katz, a leading voice in American art. William Conger and Maria Tomasula’s striking paintings will be exhibited at Zolla Lieberman Gallery. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Farmhouse restaurant.
