November 18, 2015

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting at two West Loop galleries.

Come visit the studio of Darrell Roberts, whose abstract paintings swirl with lush brushwork. Richly textured surfaces convey movement and the tension of space, form and color. Roberts’ work has been included in numerous exhibitions including a recent solo show at McCormick Gallery. This fall he has been working in a studio at the Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing, China with an exhibition to follow. At Kavi Gupta Gallery we will see the haunting paintings of James Krone who explores the art making process as a means to comment on philosophical ideas and contemporary culture. Jacob Hashimoto's visually striking and imaginative kite pieces will be exhibited at Rhona Hoffman Gallery. Enjoy lunch at Wishbone restaurant.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago’s art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
