April 18, 2018

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting and sculpture at two Chicago galleries.

Come see the studio of artist Nancy Lu Rosenheim, whose sculpture and painting anthropomorphize objects from nature. Her art is idiosyncratic, tempered by a sharp, sexual edge. Rosenheim's sculpture was cited in Chicago Tribune's "Best of 2015." Her work has been exhibited internationally, including the Hyde Park Art Center, the Fine Arts Gallery of Northeastern Illinois University, the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Alaska, and The Desert Museum of Art Palm Springs, California. At Rhona Hoffman Gallery's striking new space we will see Judy Ledgerwood's boldly colorful abstract paintings.  Ledgerwood's work explores feminist issues. At Carl Hammer Gallery we will meet Mary Lou Zelazny, who will discuss her breathtaking, surreal botanical paintings. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Farmhouse restaurant.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago's art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
