September 25, 2019
/Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to the home of art dealer Monique Meloche. We will see the interaction between Monique’s art and lifestyle in this visually exciting space. The tour will continue to explore painting, drawing and sculpture at two Chicago galleries.
At Richard Gray Gallery we will view Leon Polk Smith’s geometric abstract paintings in an exhibit entitled “Endless space.” Smith’s large, vibrantly colored shapes stretch the boundaries of the canvas. At Kavi Gupta Gallery we will experience Manish Nai's fascinating new paintings and sculpture. Nai’s colorful work distills the essence of contemporary Mumbai, where he lives. He is known for using indigo-dyed jute, used clothes, and the diverse newspapers of India as the raw material for his practice. Enjoy lunch at the lively Little Goat Diner.
Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago's art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
