Join me for an interesting day that begins with a visit to the visually exciting home of a Chicago art collector. At this stunning penthouse apartment, you will experience a museum caliber art collection, including works by Gerhard Richter, Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Jean Arp, Vic Muniz and Peter Halley. The tour will continue to explore art at two Chicago galleries.

At Richard Gray Gallery we will see striking portraits by internationally renowned artist Alex Katz, a leading voice in contemporary figurative painting. Katz’s paintings are based on a likeness of his daughter-in-law, the filmmaker Vivien Bittencourt. At Corbett vs. Dempsey we will view Celeste Rapones’ wildly inventive narrative paintings, where female figures are often shown in varying moments of repose and activity. Rapones’ vibrant use of color, evocative characters and detailed scenes are captivating. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Southwestern restaurant Flo.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago's art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
