/Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting, sculpture and installation at two Chicago galleries.
Come see the studio of internationally acclaimed artist Jessica Stockholder, who breaks down the boundaries between painting, sculpture and architecture. Stockholder combines everyday objects with painting and sculpture to create colorful, complex installations that often extend beyond windows and doors. Her work is in the permanent collections of many museums including the Whitney Museum of Art, New York; The Art Institute of Chicago; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. At Richard Gray Gallery, we will see renowned painter Susan Rothenberg’s iconic 1974-1977 series: the profile horse paintings. Gary Justis’ fascinating light sculptures will be exhibited in a show entitled “Electric Dreams,” at Ken Saunders Gallery. Enjoy lunch at the colorful Wishbone restaurant.
Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago's art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
