June 18, 2025

Celebrate summer by joining me for an exciting day of looking at art.

Come visit the studio of Diana Guerrero-Maciá, who creates what she calls “unpainted pictures,” poetic abstract paintings constructed from textiles and vibrant mixed media collages. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the John Michael Kohler Art Center, Sheboygan Wisconsin and the Museum of Contemporary Art, St. Louis. At Richard Gray Gallery we will see “Apparitions,” a fascinating group exhibit of 25 cutting-edge artists including Jean Dubuffet, Alberto Giacometti, David Klamen and Theaster Gates, whose interrogations of the human form have pushed boundaries of representation. At Regards Gallery we will experience stunning abstract paintings by Dave Lloyd that seem to glow with color and are evocative of the aurora borealis. Enjoy lunch at the delicious restaurant Noble Thai.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago’s art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
