September 24, 2025

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues to explore painting and sculpture at two Chicago galleries.

Come visit the studio of Michelle Wasson whose paintings offer a sensual refuge from reality. Created intuitively from memory and imagination, layers of color and light portray surreal cosmic travel, supernatural spaces, and the power of nature. Wasson’s work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago, Galleri Urbane, Dallas, TX, Yale Institute of Sacred Music, New Haven CT and the Brand Library Art Center in Glendale, CA. Renowned Angeleno painter and sculptor Aaron Curry exhibits for the first time in Chicago at Corbett vs. Dempsey with whimsical wood-grained objects and collages. At Monique Meloche Gallery we will experience Luke Agada's surrealist paintings of disembodied figures and dream-like grounds that reference identity and the transformation of the postmodern human. Agada was Newcity’s 2024 Breakout Artist. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Southwestern restaurant Flo.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago’s art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
