November 29, 2017

Join me for a fun day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore  painting at two Chicago galleries.

Come see the studio of acclaimed sculptor Josh Garber, whose intriguing metal sculptures create interplay between static industrial materials and fluid organic forms. Josh's work is exhibited in galleries and museums nationwide, including the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, the Rockford Art Museum and the Elmhurst Art Museum. At Shane Campbell Gallery we will see breathtaking Matissean landscape paintings and still lifes by John McAllister. Inhabiting the gallery space - with McAllister’s unique palette of deep purple, pink, turquoise and orange - is uplifting. Pioneering feminist artist Faith Wilding will  exhibit her fascinating mixed media watercolor paintings at Western Exhibitions.  Enjoy lunch at the delicious Southwestern restaurant, Flo.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago's art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
