May 10, 2017

Join me for a fun day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues on to explore painting and photography at two Chicago galleries.

Come visit the studio of Jackie Kazarian, whose vibrant paintings evoke emotion and depth through her use of pattern, lush brushstroke and rich color. Kazarian's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide. She has produced installations in collaboration with Chicago dance companies The Seldoms and 58 Group. In 2015 Kazarian created Armenia, a monumental painting celebrating the cultural vitality and history of the Armenian people on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. Renowned artist Jim Dine's breathtaking new paintings will be exhibited at Richard Gray Gallery's visually exciting new space. At Rhona Hoffman Gallery, we will see Julia Fish's compelling abstract paintings and Deana Lawson's powerful photographs (2017 Whitney Biennale exhibitor). Enjoy lunch at the lively Little Goat Diner.
