September 28, 2022

Join me for an exciting day that begins with a visit to an artist's studio and continues to explore painting and drawing at two Chicago galleries.

Come visit the studio of Richard Hull, whose richly surfaced oil and waxed paintings combine personal narrative with formal abstract painting. Hull’s work is in many museum collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C., and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. At Patron Gallery we will see vibrant paintings by Caroline Kent, who explores the relationship between language, translation, and abstraction. Kent has created her own language using paint. At Kavi Gupta Gallery we will experience Su Su’s fantastical, dreamlike paintings that offer a unique understanding of intercultural exchange and the experience of being an immigrant. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Noble Thai restaurant.

Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago’s art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
