/Join me for an interesting day that begins with a visit to the visually exciting home of collectors Gary Metzner and Scott Johnson. Metzner is Head of Sotheby’s Chicago. In this stunning condo you will experience a museum caliber art collection, including works by Theaster Gates, Theodora Allen, Bethany Collins, Chris Garafalo, Mel Bochner, and many more. The tour will continue to explore painting and photography at two Chicago galleries.
At Richard Gray Gallery, we will see McArthur Binion’s autobiographical and lushly textured geometric paintings. The exhibit also includes work by celebrated NY photographer Jules Allen, commemorating a forty year dialogue between the two artists. At Andrew Rafacz Gallery, we will experience Soumya Netrabile’s beautiful dreamlike canvases inspired by poetry and opera and flooded with yellows, pinks and greens. Netrabile’s paintings reflect memories mined from daily walks in nature. Enjoy lunch at the delicious restaurant Noble Thai.
Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago’s art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
