/Celebrate summer by joining me for an exciting day of looking at art.
Come visit the studio of sculptor Daniel G. Baird. His work addresses ideas embedded within Western culture, often questioning notions of technological progress and how it relates to our relationship with time, the artist’s gesture, and the sublime. Baird’s art has been exhibited internationally, including at the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art, Sweden; Leeds University College of Art, UK; Eli & Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University; and the Renaissance Society, Chicago. At Patron Gallery we will see Nour Malas’ stunning abstract paintings that burst with energy and color. “… Malas has developed a physical, poetic practice, driven by an inert impulse to give form to the emotional states of being alive.”(Patron) We’ll experience Jennifer Rochlin’s enchanting clay vessels and paintings of intimate scenes of her life and loves, nature and art history at Mariane Ibrahim Gallery. Enjoy lunch at the delicious Southwestern restaurant Flo.
Broaden your knowledge of art and explore Chicago’s art community in a small group atmosphere, with personalized attention.
